Unable to Send and Receive Email Print

  • Email Error, IP Address Blocked, Firewall

Occasionally, a client's IP address may be automatically added to our server's firewall block list. This is a security measure designed to protect our server from suspicious activity—but it can sometimes impact legitimate users as well.

Our firewall might be blocking your IP address due to a few reasons, most commonly related to suspicious activity or security measures. These include excessive login attempts, potential spamming behavior, or your IP being blacklisted by a third-party service. Other reasons could be your IP being flagged as part of a botnet or due to the IP range being associated with a high spam rate.

Symptoms of a Blocked IP Address

If your IP has been blocked by our server, you might experience the following:

  • Website not loading (e.g. your site times out or shows a connection error)
  • Unable to send/receive emails
  • DirectAdmin, or Webmail not accessible
  • FTP connection errors
  • “403 Forbidden” or timeout messages

These issues usually affect only you (or others on the same network), while the website and email services continue to work for everyone else.

How to Check and Send Us Your IP Address

If you suspect your IP is blocked, here’s how to check your public IP and share it with us:

  • Go to www.whatismyipaddress.com
  • Look for your IPv4 Address (usually near the top of the page)
    • It will look like this: 123.45.67.89
  • Copy that IPv4 address. Please make sure to send the IPv4 address, not the IPv6 one (if both are listed).
  • Send it to us via email, support ticket, or WhatsApp and we’ll check and unblock it if necessary.

If you need help at any stage, please don’t hesitate to contact our helpdesk team. We’re here to assist and ensure you stay connected!
